Works carried out
This summer we were tasked with creating a new Food Technology classroom in a school. The room was originally a basic classroom, so the design and installation was a complete re-working of the room, including all plumbing, drainage and electrical works. The remit was to install 7 food production areas for students, 1 demonstration area for the teacher and various appliance and storage fixtures within the room. Each food production area included storage, sink, worktops cooker, hob and extraction unit. All the cabinets in the room were designed, made in house and installed by our team of joiners. The work was completed within the strict timescale and the room was handed over complete before the start of the new school year.
We also carried out projects across the region for other schools this summer, including replacement of fire doors, painting and decorating, building stud walls, and the total refurbishment of 4 school toilets blocks, which included removal of the exiting facilities and installing new cubicles and sanitary ware.
QCS have also completed external construction and maintenance projects including ground works, fencing and installing ECO Crete systems in school car parks.
